Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning standardized codes for diagnoses, procedures, and treatments to ensure accurate billing and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Medical Coding: Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and medical services based on patient records.
• Documentation Review: Analyze medical records, physician notes, lab results, and other documentation to ensure proper coding and compliance.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to coding guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and federal regulations such as HIPAA.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of coding. Identify and rectify coding discrepancies or errors.
• Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers, billing teams, and insurance companies to resolve coding-related inquiries or denials.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with changes in medical coding standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

• Pharm-D or a degree in Medical Sciences (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate degree in Health Information Management or related field (preferred).
• Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) from AAPC or AHIMA (required).

Experience:

• Minimum [1-3] years of experience in medical coding in a healthcare setting (preferred).
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and coding software.

2. Medical Coder (Mid-Level):

• Ideal for: Candidates with 1-3 years of experience in medical coding.

3. Senior Medical Coder:

• Ideal for: Candidates with 4+ years of experience, advanced certifications, or specialized coding expertise.

4. Coding Executive Level 02:

• Ideal for: Professionals with strong foundational knowledge in medical coding and software proficiency.

• High-level proficiency in the basic coding training and curriculum designed for new candidates.
• Practical knowledge of billing software, such as AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks (ECW), Charm EHR, and Tebra, used across both EHR and PM platforms.
• Preparation of monthly coding guidelines and discussion of updates with the team.
• Basic understanding of denials management and the ability to handle daily coding and billing queries.
• Expertise in core work practices and the software utilized.

5. Lead Medical Coder:

• Ideal for: Highly experienced professionals with leadership abilities.
